Robust, reliable alarms to stop intruders in their tracks
Computer equipment, specialist parts and machinery, vehicles, high-value commercial goods… offices and commercial premises are a big draw for criminals.
But it’s not just the presence of all those potentially easy pickings that attracts them, it’s the ease with which they can get in…
Most offices and commercial premises are unoccupied at night. And our experience shows that thieves will always take the path of least resistance, targeting premises that are most obviously deserted and show no sign of alarms or other security measures.
Your main line of defence
You need the reassurance that, even if you’re not there, your alarm will go on working. So alarms for offices and commercial premises need to be tough and durable, particularly if they’re going to be positioned outside.
Out top four requirements for commercial alarm systems
- Sensitivity - We recommend alarms that are sufficiently sensitive, but also carefully programmed so that they don’t go off every time a spider breaks a beam, or the wind changes direction. False alarms are no fun for anyone, particularly if you’re the one checking them out.
- Versatility - To maintain optimum security and to ensure accurate log-keeping, you may need to issue multiple entry codes for different employees. Versatile alarm systems make this easy with fobs or proximity tags all individually identified by the alarm system.
- Monitoring power - All the alarms we recommend give you additional monitoring power. You can synchronise the alarm with your mobile phone so that if the alarm is triggered you’ll get a notification. Or you can hook them up to a monitoring station that will take care of it all for you if you require a police response.
- Tough and durable - Exterior alarms need to be weather-resistant, so they can function effectively in extremes of temperature and adverse weather conditions. They need to be tamper-resistant too.
